Pokémon TCG - XY - Fates Collide - Booster Box

Reality shifts and is remade in the Pokémon TCG: XY—Fates Collide expansion! Mega Alakazam-EX sees the future—and shapes it to unify two worlds! The Legendary Pokémon Zygarde arrives in many different Formes to bring order, together with Lugia BREAK, Mega Altaria-EX, and Umbreon-EX. Fates are sealed, and two Pokémon worlds join together!

The Fates Collide expansion, released on May 2, 2016, is the tenth set in the Pokémon TCG: XY series. This set introduces powerful Psychic-type Pokémon and a heavy focus on Zygarde, featuring the Legendary Pokémon in multiple forms, including Zygarde-EX and its Complete Forme.

One of the standout features of Fates Collide is the return of Alakazam-EX, alongside its Mega Evolution, M Alakazam-EX, which comes with the unique Kinesis Ability that places damage counters on an opponent’s Pokémon when Alakazam-EX evolves. Other Pokémon-EX in the set include Lugia-EX, Genesect-EX, and Umbreon-EX, adding powerful attackers and strategies for players.

The set also brings back BREAK Evolution, a mechanic introduced in XY—BREAKthrough, allowing Pokémon like Delphox BREAK, Lugia BREAK, and Omastar BREAK to gain enhanced abilities and higher HP.

For collectors, Fates Collide features Full Art and Secret Rare versions of popular Pokémon-EX and Trainer cards, with gold-bordered Secret Rare cards like Alakazam-EX being highly sought after. The expansion consists of 124 cards, including secret rares, and was the last main set before the Pokémon TCG transitioned into the Sun & Moon era.

Overall, Fates Collide remains a memorable set due to its strong Psychic-type theme, BREAK Evolutions, and the prominence of Zygarde, making it a valuable addition for both competitive players and collectors.
