The Japanese term “koi” refers to colorful carp, also known as “living flowers” or “floating flowers”. In Japanese culture, they are considered living jewels and symbols of perseverance, strength, and virtue. They are kept in decorative ponds and are believed to bring luck and success.

In this game, you take on the role of koi breeders competing to create the most beautiful pond. The winner will be the player who creates the best environment for their koi fish.

During the game, players take turns choosing cards from the central market and placing pond tiles into their own personal pond. Your goal is to create the perfect habitat and make your pond as beautiful and comfortable as possible for your koi.

A koi fish that is completely surrounded by water or water lilies has a larger and more beautiful living space, allowing it to thrive and reward you with more victory points. You will also compete with other gardeners by completing objectives and claiming bonuses – the first player to achieve them gains an advantage.

At the end of the game, the player with the highest total score wins.
