War threatens Middle-earth. The Eye of Sauron relentlessly searches for the One Ring, while the Fellowship gathers around Frodo and Gandalf to destroy it. It's time to choose a side and decide the fate of the Free Peoples!
Will you play as the Fellowship of the Ring to defend the free races and destroy the One Ring? Or will you play as Sauron and pursue Frodo and Sam while deploying your hordes to the gates of enemy cities? The fate of Middle-earth is in your hands!
The game takes place in 3 consecutive chapters that develop similarly.
On your turn, you strengthen your skills, gather treasures, expand your troops throughout Middle-earth, unite the races to your cause, or advance on the path of the Ring.
Win the game by fulfilling one of 3 victory conditions: Complete the journey of the Ring, gain the support of 6 different races, occupy Middle-earth.
