Splendor: The Silk Road is a thematic expansion to the award-winning game Splendor, introducing fresh challenges and strategic opportunities into the classic gem-trading gameplay. This time, players travel along the legendary Silk Road, gaining prestige not only through development cards but also through new ways to win.
The Cities module replaces the standard Noble tiles with alternate victory conditions, pushing players to rethink their strategy and adapt throughout the game. Meanwhile, the Trading Posts module lets players unlock powerful benefits by establishing posts along the Silk Road, offering new tools and advantages in the race for prestige.
The expansion is designed for 2 to 4 players aged 10 and up and is fully compatible with other Splendor expansions. This is not a standalone product – the base game Splendor is required to play. The Silk Road is a perfect addition for fans who love the original game and want to expand their experience with greater variability and tactical depth.
