Memoir ’44 – an epic board game of World War II. Relive the atmosphere of D-Day and other key battles of the Second World War! Take command of infantry, tanks, and artillery, and rewrite history on the battlefields of Europe.

Memoir ’44 is designed for 2–4 players aged 8 and up. A single game lasts about 30–45 minutes. Thanks to its simple rules, it’s easy to learn even for less experienced players, yet it still offers plenty of depth and strategic choices. With two players, you can enjoy the classic clash of Allies versus Axis; with four players, you can try the exciting team mode.

How to play

In Memoir ’44, you step into the role of a general leading your troops through decisive battles of World War II. The board is built from hexagonal spaces where historically inspired scenarios unfold—from Omaha Beach to the Ardennes. Each scenario faithfully recreates the deployed forces, terrain, and unique objectives.

Players take turns playing Command cards, which dictate the movement and attacks of their units. Combat is resolved with dice rolls, influenced by terrain, range, and unit type. You’ll command infantry, tanks, artillery, and even elite units with special abilities. These units maneuver across the battlefield in formations, capture key positions, and earn victory medals by defeating enemies or completing scenario objectives.

The game features not only classic missions but also special rules that add authenticity to the scenarios—such as armored blitzes, air strikes, or fortified bunkers. Thanks to the combination of cards and dice, every battle is tense until the very last moment, making you feel like you’re standing in the middle of a real historic conflict.
